On July 21, 2009 at 6:30 am, RCMP Wasagaming were dispatched to a fire at the Pizza Place Restaurant located in the town site in Clear Lake.
The Erickson and Onanole Fire Departments were dispatched and they were able to contain the fire to the kitchen area.
Exact damage estimates are unknown, but the damage to the restaurant is considered extensive due to the smoke throughout the building.
The Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner was on scene assisting with this investigation.
The fire is not considered suspicious and is deemed accidental.
The investigation continues.
