Brian Shane Stevenson of Winnipeg has been charged with numerous offences in connection to a shooting incident in the Community of Peguis First Nation which occurred on August 19, 2009.
 
19-year-old Stevenson has been charged with the following offences:

• aggravated assault
• discharge firearm with intent x 2
• careless use of a firearm
• unauthorized possession of firearm
• unauthorized possession in motor vehicle
• possession of prohibited firearm with ammunition.  

Stevenson has been remanded in Custody and will be appearing August 21, 2009 in Winnipeg.

The 14-year-old victim was released from Children’s Hospital this morning.

The investigation continues.
