On the evening of September 24, 2009, at approximately 5:30pm, the Manitou RCMP responded to a call in the Rural Municipality of Louise, south of La Riviere, Manitoba, where a male was trapped under a hay bale after a stack gave way on his farmyard.
The male, deceased, was found by family members who then contacted 911. Emergency services attended and determined through their investigation that the male had been trapped since the evening prior.
The investigation is still ongoing, but police believe the incident was accidental.
