At approximately 7am on October 3, 2009, RCMP members from Neepawa Detachment responded to a complaint of a break and enter at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, 380 Mountain Avenue in Neepawa, Manitoba.

Upon arrival, police noted that the exterior door window to the ATM lobby had been smashed as well an interior door window leading into the main office area of the bank. Once inside, the subject rummaged through the interior office area and teller’s desks, however nothing was reported stolen. Damages are estimated to be in the area of $1500.

As a result of further investigation, police were able to identify a male subject who subsequently admitted to this offence.

23-year-old Marcel Wayne Genaille of Sandy Bay, Manitoba, was charged with break and enter with intent and breach of recognizance. Genaille has been remanded in custody to appear in Brandon Provincial Court on Monday October 5, 2009.
