The St. Pierre Bilingual Centre is part of a partnership agreement that was recently signed by the government.
In the middle of December, the province signed an agreement between the Government of Manitoba Bilingual Service Centres and the Société franco-manitobaine’s 233-ALLÔ information center.
Finance Minister, Greg Selinger, who is responsible for French Language Services, says that the statement recognizes the cooperative ties between the partners.
Since the first bilingual service centre was established in April 2002, the service centres and the 233-ALLÔ information centre have worked together to provide improved service for clients they have in common. The centres refer clients to one another, share information and co-ordinate efforts on common objectives, said the Minister.
The province also unveiled to the community its new set of promotional tools on the active offer of French-language services.
The community launch provides an opportunity for citizens to see the tools that will help them more easily identify the French-language services provided by the provincial government.
