Shortly after 7pm on November 2, 2009, St. Pierre and Steinbach RCMP members were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 1, approximately two miles west of Highway 12.
Once on scene it was determined that an eastbound 2006 GMC pick-up truck had collided with the back of grain trailer being pulled by a farm tractor. The driver of the pick-up truck, 22-year-old Brandyn Falk from Winnipeg, was taken to Steinbach Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The 45-year-old male driver of the farm tractor was treated for his injuries at Steinbach Hospital and released.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
