Two men were arrested Saturday night, December 26, 2009, inside the restaurant they were in the process of breaking into.
Officers from the Dauphin Municipal Detachment received an anonymous call around 10pm, December 26, 2009, indicating that two men had broken into the Hong Kong Cafe and they were still inside.
Officers attended and located two men inside and arrested them without incident.
Damages to the restaurant were minimal. 18-year-old Jerome Sonny Cook, from the Shoal River First Nation, and 27-year-old Eugene Kenneth Linklater, of Dauphin, have each been charged with break and enter and have been remanded in custody to appear in Dauphin court on Tuesday, December 29, 2009.
