On December 12, 2008 at about 9:30 a.m., Selkirk RCMP General Investigation Section executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Superior Avenue in the City of Selkirk. RCMP, acting on information that illegal firearms were in the residence, conducted the search.  No firearms were seized.

Four occupants of the residence had been taken into police custody. 19-year-old Carly Koswin formally of Selkirk has been charged with three counts of failing to comply the conditions of a Recognizance.  She was held in-custody at the Winnipeg Remand Centre. She is appearing in Winnipeg Court on December 16, 2008.

The remaining three occupants were released from police custody without charges.

The investigation is continuing.
