On March 9, 2010, at about 9:15pm, Teulon RCMP were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on PR 229 at Rd 2E, approximately 5 kilometres east of Inwood, Manitoba, in the RM of Rockwood.
Investigation revealed that a 1995 Dodge pick-up, driven by a 48-year-old man from the Inwood area, was traveling eastbound on PR 229 when the vehicle lost control, went off the road, hit an approach and rolled. The driver and sole occupant of the pick-up was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The name of the deceased is not being released pending the notification of next of kin.
Road and weather conditions are not considered to be contributing factors in this collision.
The investigation into the cause of this collision continues.
