On March 24, 2010, despite some sudden inclement weather, a formal search for Tyler Arkinson was completed in the high probability area of where he was last seen on Sagkeeng FN on Sunday Morning, March 21, 2010.
The search was conducted by RCMP Search and Rescue, assisted by the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner, Search and Rescue Manitoba (SARMAN) and civilian community searchers.
While the formal area search has now concluded, RCMP will continue their efforts to locate Tyler Arkinson through investigative means. The matter is still considered a missing person investigation. Additional investigators have been dispatched to assist local staff with the investigation.
Any area searches conducted at this point is not being coordinated by the RCMP.
