On March 27, 2010, at about 4am, Headingley RCMP, as well as local EMS and the Headingley Fire Department, were dispatched to the scene of a single vehicle rollover on the Trans Canada Highway in Headingley, Manitoba.

Investigation revealed that a white 1997 Pontiac Sunfire was traveling east bound on the Trans Canada Highway when the driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a  rollover. Witnesses report the vehicle came to rest in the parking area of the Headingley Weigh Scales.

The driver, a 20-year-old male from the Lorette area, was ejected from the vehicle. Efforts to resuscitate the driver were unsuccessful. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

There were no passengers, and no other persons or vehicles involved in the collision.

An RCMP traffic analyst attended to assist with the investigation.

Speed is considered to be a factor and police continue to investigate.
