On April 9, 2010, the Steinbach RCMP and the Ste. Anne Police Department executed a search warrant at an apartment on Chapel Drive in Steinbach.
Inside the residence the police located approximately 300 MDMA pills. MDMA is a controlled drug commonly known as Ecstasy. The street value of these pills is approximately $3000. Three firearms were also located and seized. The firearms were lawfully owned and properly stored.
25-year-old Christopher Edward Johnson and 19-year-old Cassandra Janet Plastow, both of Steinbach, have been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. Both were held in custody overnight and released by a Justice the following day to attend court on April 22, 2010, in Steinbach.
