Russell and Rossburn RCMP are investigating a home invasion which occurred in the early hours of Sunday April 11, 2010.

A group of suspects forced entry into a residence in the RM of Rossburn with a baseball bat and a firearm and violently assaulted a male and female couple while their 2-year-old child watched from a crib. The suspects proceeded to then steal various items from the home and then left. The suspects were known to the victims, one being a former boyfriend of the female. The victims called police after the incident.

They then left the residence after recovering the initial stolen items.
