RCMP are requesting public assistance in locating 14-year-old Tyler Arkinson who has been missing since March of this year.
On March 22, 2010, at 4:25pm, the RCMP Powerview Detachment were notified that 14-year-old Tyler Arkinson could not be located. Efforts to find him had failed and Tyler’s family members were becoming increasingly concerned since it was unusual for him not to contact his family.
RCMP Powerview began an investigation and learned that Tyler Arkinson from the Sagkeeng FN attended a party on South Shore Road on Sagkeeng First Nation, Saturday night, March 20, 2010. It is believed that Tyler left the party on foot in the early hours of Sunday morning.
In the following days, massive search efforts on Sagkeeng FN lead by the RCMP Search and Rescue Team, search partners, Powerview RCMP Detachment, family members and local area volunteers failed to find Tyler Arkinson.
Tyler Atkinson was last seen, in the early hours of Sunday, March 21, 2010, at a house party about 10 kilometres northwest of the Town of Powerview-Pine Falls on Highway 11 on the South Shore of the Winnipeg River. Atkinson was last seen wearing blue jeans, a grey sweater, a black jacket and red and black skateboard shoes. Atkinson is described as 5’10” tall, 150 lbs, brown hair and brown eyes.
RCMP Powerview Detachment continued their efforts to locate Tyler Arkinson through investigative means to no avail and Tyler Arkinson has yet to be found.
