On May 17, 2010, at about 8:40am, RCMP Lac du Bonnet Detachment along with the Pinawa Fire Department were dispatched to a fire at the Pinawa Motor Inn.
An employee and a hotel guest were evacuated from the premise due to the fire. No injuries have been reported.
Damage is estimated at $1.5 million and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The investigation continues with the assistance of the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner.
