Gary Schellenberg, director of Campus Services at Providence, stages a comical tee off at the Providence Classic Golf Tournament at Quarry Oaks.

Providence College and Seminary thanks all sponsors and participants who attended the 12th Annual Providence Classic Golf Tournament held on June 8, for helping the school raise a total of $50,000 (minus expenses) toward the Providence Transportation Fund.

One hundred and thirty-three golfers came out despite the rainy Tuesday morning weather and most of the rest of the day stayed dry despite overcast skies. The event kicked off with a free BBQ lunch sponsored by Southeastern Farm Equipment and included three hole-in-one chances featuring a car sponsored by Steinbach Dodge, an ATV sponsored by Southeastern Farm Equipment and a boat sponsored by Supreme Boats.

The winning team was from Menzies Financial, including Doug Menzies, Steve Menzies, Curtis Carriere, and Andrew Charney. The team won with a score of 56.
