Falcon Lake RCMP are investigating a single motor vehicle fatality that occurred on Hwy #1 approximately 1 km west of Falcon Lake at approximately 11:00 a.m. on January 24, 2009.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that a 49-year-old Ontario man was traveling eastbound on Hwy #1 when he lost control of the pickup truck he was operating. The truck rolled in the ditch several times before coming to rest on its wheels.
The driver sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the lone occupant of the vehicle. The drivers name is being withheld pending notification of next of Kin.
The investigation continues.
