Officers from Grandview RCMP Detachment are investigating an early morning robbery that occurred at the Gilbert Plains Hotel in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba.
On August 12, 2010, around 2am, 4 males entered the bar at the Gilbert Plains Hotel and attacked the lone employee who was in the process of closing up for the night. The employee was struck and kicked a number of times before his attackers tied him up. A quantity of cash was then stolen from the bar.
RCMP report that the four suspects were all wearing balaclavas and hoodies.
The hotel employee was taken to the Grandview Hospital for treatment of his injuries where he was kept for observation.
The investigation continues with the assistance of the Dauphin Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Unit. Anyone with information is asked to call the Grandview RCMP.
