On August 28, 2010, at about 11:30pm, Powerview RCMP were dispatched to the scene of an assault at the Hollow Water FN.
Initial reports indicate that a number of people had attended a residence in the community and attacked the occupants with baseball bats and sticks. Witness reports indicate one victim may have had a small portion of a finger severed, which was located by police at the scene. Police are unable to confirm any other injuries at this time.
When police arrived at the residence, everyone had left the scene. Police continue to investigate the incident. Residents and witnesses are being interviewed.
RCMP Forensic Identification Service attended to assist with the investigation and examine the scene.
No charges have been laid, and the investigation is on going.
