RCMP are investigating an attempted murder and are requesting the public’s assistance in locating two unidentified males and a vehicle in connection to this incident.
Investigating this case are Ste. Rose RCMP in conjunction with the Dauphin Major Crime Unit, Dauphin Forensic Identification Services and the Winnipeg Serious Crime Unit.
On September 4, 2010, at approximately 4:30pm, Ste. Rose RCMP were dispatched to a residence on Ebb and Flow FN for a complaint of a violent assault. The 39-year-old female victim was transported to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries. She has since been released from hospital.
Three males were reported to have been seen leaving the area in a blue pick-up truck that was described as “having a lot of garbage in the truck box”
On September 16, 35-year-old Cyril Kenneth Levasseur of Ebb and Flow FN was located and arrested by investigators in Coburg, Ontario. Levasseur has been charged with attempted murder and break and enter to commit murder. Levasseur will be returned to Manitoba to appear in provincial court at a later date.
The two remaining unidentified males and the blue pick-up truck have not yet been located. Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating these individuals and the vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call the Ste. Rose RCMP Detachment at (204)447-3082 or your local police agency.
