During the afternoon of October 7, 2010, St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP and local EMS attended the scene of a farming accident in the RM of Ritchot.
A 77-year-old man from the Niverville area was operating a tractor on his farm land. Due to a mechanical malfunction, the man sustained serious injuries. He was transported to local hospital, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.
There were no other persons reported to be involved in this incident.
The name of the deceased is not being released at the wish of family members.
