On October 21, 2010, at approximately 3:30pm, Steinbach RCMP received a report of a corn field on fire east of Southpark Drive in Steinbach.
Steinbach Fire Department attended and soon extinguished the fire. The Fire Department advised that the fire had been started in two different spots in close proximity of each other. The field did not sustain very much damage, however, a backyard fence did sustain some damage. There is no estimate for the damage.
Police are asking the public’s assistance in identifying three males between the ages of 14 and 15 that were seen in the area prior to the fire being reported. One is described as aboriginal and the other two as caucasian, wearing jeans and season jackets.
