At about 11pm on December 23, 2010, a single vehicle rollover claimed the life of a 36-year-old Swan River woman.
Swan River RCMP, Swan River EMS and Swan River Fire Department responded to the call. A northbound black 2001 Chevrolet Suburban was found in the middle of Highway 83, approximately 15 kilometres south of Swan River.
The female passenger was ejected from the vehicle when the vehicle rolled after the 45-year-old male driver lost control. The driver and 3 passengers were taken to the Swan Valley Hospital for non life threatening injuries.
Investigation to this point indicates that alcohol was not a factor in the accident. Winter road conditions and a heavy fog (extremely poor visibility) are believed to be contributing factors.
The investigation continues.
