On January 7, 2010, during the early morning hours, Carman Area RCMP were called to attend a break and enter at the Canada Post building in the Village of Elm Creek.
The building had been broken into and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen along with a laptop computer. The office was also substantially vandalized.
The RCMP Forensic Identification Services Section attended the scene.
A Manitoba Hydro compound was also victim to a break and enter over night. The compound’s fence was breached and an amount of copper wire was stolen.
Anyone who may have observed suspicious activity in the Elm Creek area or who has information regarding these incidents is asked to call the Carman RCMP at 204-745-6760 or Manitoba Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
