RCMP have charged a 39-year-old woman in connection with a drug bust in Cross Lake last week.
On January 22, 2011, Cross Lake RCMP executed a CDSA (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) search warrant at a residence in Cross Lake, Manitoba.
RCMP investigators seized a quantity of cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills, several thousand dollars in cash, as well as 3 firearms and items related to the transportation and distribution of drugs.
The accused, 39-year-old Alphera Ann Ross, from Cross Lake, Manitoba, has been charged with a number of offences including trafficking cocaine and marijuana, possession of property obtained by crime, 3 counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and 3 counts of careless storage of a firearm.
Ross was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Cross Lake Provincial Court on February 8, 2011 at 10am.
Police continue to investigate.
