On July 14, 2013, just after 4am, Carman area RCMP were dispatched to the scene of a fatal collision on Highway 30, just south of Altona, involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian.
On August 20, 2012, shortly after 8:30pm, Altona RCMP Detachment along with the local Fire and EMS and the assistance of the Altona Police Service responded to a call of a plane crash at the Altona Airport in the RM of Rhineland.
