Red River Mutual announced recently that it will be donating $1,000 to the Altona and Rhineland Pool Pass Program.

Representatives from Red River Mutual and BSI Insurance Brokers recently faced-off against each other in a fun hockey game to help raise funds that would go towards the construction of the Altona Elks Play Land.

Red River Mutual staff got into the Hockey Spirit and “Faced Off Against Hunger” by collecting food for local food banks and dressing in their favorite Winnipeg Jets Gear.

Red River Mutual and The Firefighters’ Burn Fund along with members of the community came together to help replace the hard wired heat detectors and smoke alarms at the Kiddie Sunshine Centre, a local nursey school.

On Dec 4, 2014, the RCMP Winnipeg Major Crime Unit, along with the RCMP Internet Child Exploitation Unit, provided assistance to the Altona Police Service regarding allegations of voyeurism and making child pornography against a member of the Altona Police Service.

On October 16, 2014, at approximately 3:30pm, Carman RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision Road 8 NE, one mile east of Altona, Manitoba.

On July 13, 2014, shortly after 4pm, Carman Area RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Road 11 West in the RM of Rhineland, Manitoba, approximately 11 km west of Altona, Manitoba.

On July 14, 2013, just after 4am, Carman area RCMP were dispatched to the scene of a fatal collision on Highway 30, just south of Altona, involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian.

On August 20, 2012, shortly after 8:30pm, Altona RCMP Detachment along with the local Fire and EMS and the assistance of the Altona Police Service responded to a call of a plane crash at the Altona Airport in the RM of Rhineland.
