On April 30, 2009 at about 5 a.m., RCMP Chemawawin Detachment responded to a report of a stabbing on a local road in the Community of Chemawawin Cree Nation.
On February 26, 2008, a second female youth was arrested by Grand Rapids RCMP in connection with the stabbing of a male and the severe beating of another male, in The Pas, on February 21, 2008.
In the early morning hours of February 21, 2009, a 19-year-old man was located in Opaskwayak Cree Nation (OCN) suffering from several stab wounds and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
