As part of the province’s commitment to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions, 20 farms and agribusinesses across the province are receiving more than $444,000 in grants to switch from coal to biomass heating systems.
A new Manitoba Biomass Energy Support Program (MBESP) will provide up to $400,000 in grants to encourage coal users to switch to biomass energy products and support the expansion and growth of the biomass energy production industry.
