The Canada Border Services Agency is pleased to share a sample of August 2013 highlights from its border crossings, underscoring the CBSA’s commitment to keeping communities safe and ensuring our laws are respected.
July was a busy month for Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers in ports across southern Manitoba.
Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers were kept busy in June processing approximately 179,500 travellers in more than 71,000 cars and approximately 22,500 commercial trucks.
Approximately 173,000 people entered Canada through ports in southern Manitoba during the month of May.
CBSA Officer Nicole Dmitrowicz was recently presented with the inaugural 2012 Regional Director General’s Award of Excellence for Service Excellence.
CBSA officers in southern Manitoba processed more than 127,500 travellers in February and 174,500 travellers in March along with a combined total of 39,000 commercial trucks.
During the month of January, CBSA officers in southern Manitoba processed more than 122,800 travellers, 52,200 passenger vehicles and 15,000 commercial trucks.
In Manitoba this past December, there were 141,000 people processed for entry into Canada travelling in 53,300 vehicles and 14,500 commercial trucks.
In Manitoba this past November, there were 214,600 people processed for entry into Canada travelling in 54,000 vehicles and 16,000 commercial trucks.
At Manitoba’s land border crossings this past October, there were 160,000 people processed for entry into Canada travelling in 66,000 vehicles, as well as 23,000 commercial trucks processed importing 63,000 shipments.
