Dauphin RCMP are very pleased with this year’s festival. During the course of the event, which hosted 12,000 participants, a total of only 15 calls for service were received.
On June 25-29, 2014, RCMP officers in the Dauphin area stepped up traffic enforcement in and around the Dauphin area.
The RCMP West District Traffic Services seven member highway patrol unit report a busy long weekend during the Dauphin Countryfest.
Traffic along PTH 10 was lined up for approximately 2km prior to the opening of the gates to Countryfest on Wednesday afternoon.
Just before 10pm on July 1, 2012, officers with the Dauphin RCMP arrested a man at Dauphin’s Countryfest, after on-site security officers found him attempting to sell cocaine.
Dauphin’s Countryfest is over for 2012 and RCMP report having a busy weekend with an estimated 1,000 vehicles being checked each day.
On July 2, 2012, just after 6am, Dauphin RCMP as well as local emergency services were dispatched to a complaint of an unresponsive male at the Countryfest site.
Traffic was lined up along PTH 10 for about 1 km prior to the opening of the gates to Countryfest this past Wednesday afternoon.
Dauphin’s 2011 Countryfest weekend has resulted in numerous alcohol and driving related charges being laid over the last few days.
RCMP will once again be conducting checkstops throughout the Dauphin area during the Countryfest 2011 weekend.
