On April 25, 2010, at about 10:40am, RCMP responded to a cabin fire at the Riverside Lodge in the Community of Duck Bay.
Recent precipitation has eased the fire threat in the northwest region of the province and has allowed the restoration of burning permits issued by Manitoba Conservation in that area.
Manitoba Conservation reports continued dry weather requires further cancellations of burning permits issued by the department for the northwest and western regions of the province.
Burning permits issued by Manitoba Conservation have been cancelled for the eastern and central regions of the province and no new permits will be issued until current weather conditions change to allow safe burning conditions.
At about 3am on April 19, 2010, Thompson RCMP were dispatched to a report of a fire on the Tataskweyak First Nation (Split Lake).

On April 6, 2010, at approximately 8:20pm, Brandon RCMP and the Shilo Fire Department were dispatched to a cabin fire.
On March 26, 2010 at about 3:30am, Oakbank RCMP as well as local Emergency Services and EMS were dispatched to the scene of a residential structure fire on Pleasant Road in the RM of Springfield.
On March 20, 2010, at 7:17am, Swan River RCMP and Fire Department, along with the Bowsman and Minitonas Fire Department and Swan Valley Ambulance, responded to an apartment fire on the west side of Swan River.
On February 24, 2010, at about 1:30pm, Portage la Prairie RCMP, Regional Health EMS and Portage la Prairie Fire Department responded to a fire in a residence on 6th Avenue North West in Portage la Prairie.
