A 16-year-old youth has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder in connection with a Shamattawa house fire which occurred earlier this week.
On January 7, 2010, at approximately 3:30am, Carman RCMP responded to the scene of a local business on fire located at 42 2nd Street NE in the town of Carman.
Two sets of remains found at a Shamattawa house fire earlier this week have been examined and one has been positively identified.

On December 9, 2009, at about 8pm, Portage la Prairie RCMP responded to a house fire on Park Drive in the Town of MacGregor, Manitoba.
