On July 17, 2016, Steinbach RCMP were advised by the general public that there had been a threat conveyed towards police on a local Facebook page.

Steinbach RCMP recently received a report of an ATV that was stolen from a rural residence in the RM of Hanover. Police say that the theft occurred between 10:30pm on June 29, 2016 and 8 am on June 30, 2016.

Earlier this month, the grade two students in Bothwell School got a visit from Sparky as part of the “Travelling Sparky Program”.

On May 1, 2016, Steinbach RCMP received several complaints regarding civic signs, highway signs and mail boxes that were either damaged onsite or removed completely.

On December 31, 2015, Steinbach RCMP received a report of a stolen snowmobile that was taken from a residence located on Bush Farm Road in the RM of Hanover.

A Hanover man is facing criminal charges after recently being arrested by Steinbach RCMP in connection to a number of ATV thefts.

On November 1, 2015, at approximately 12pm, Steinbach RCMP were called to an assault that occurred in the Rural Municipality of Hanover.

Steinbach MLA and Progressive Conservative Justice Critic, Kelvin Goertzen, asked the province’s NDP Minister of Justice at committee last week to look at opening up the Community Safety Officer program so that municipalities like Steinbach and Hanover could apply for the program if they desire.

Steinbach RCMP conducted speed enforcement during the early morning hours of October 15 and 16, 2015, which resulted in 14 offence notices being issued.

The Rural Municipality of Hanover, together with the LUD of Mitchell, are encouraging local residents in the community of Mitchell to participate in this fall’s community compost depot.
