In an effort to keep Manitobans healthy and reduce the number of new cancer cases, the province’s Human Papillomavirus Immunization Program will be expanded starting next year to include both males and females.
Getting immunized against the flu will be easier for Manitobans this year with access to more health-care professionals able to administer the flu vaccines and additional locations including pharmacies, new ACCESS centres and QuickCare clinics.
The provincial government will provide more immunizations to Manitoba families as of April 1, 2014.
This week is Immunization Awareness Week and is an opportunity for Manitobans to review their family’s immunization status and take steps to ensure their loved ones are protected.
