On March 15, 2016, at approximately 8:45am, Island Lake RCMP were called to the Wasagamack nursing station after a man was discovered unresponsive on the shore near Island Lake.
On May 11, 2015, Island Lake RCMP responded to the report of a missing female youth.
Island Lake RCMP are currently investigating the recent deaths of both a 5-year-old child and a 6-week-old infant.
On April 3, 2013, just after 3pm, Island Lake RCMP were notified that an aircraft emergency locator transmitter had been activated in the area.
The Island Lake RCMP Detachment, with the assistance of the North District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team, is currently on the lookout for 19-year-old Kyle John Loonfoot of Island Lake.
On July 8, 2011, shortly after 5pm, Island Lake RCMP Detachment were contacted by a local Manitoba Conservation officer and advised that a capsized boat with 9 occupants had been located.
On March 18, 2010 at about 1:30pm, RCMP Island Lake Detachment became aware that several people from the communities of Garden Hill FN and St. Theresa Point FN, became stranded on a winter road about 200 kilometres south of Island Lake.
