This year’s graduating class of physician assistants have all accepted jobs in Manitoba, further strengthening the system and ensuring patients have access to the high-quality care they provide.

The Manitoba government has met its commitment to hire 50 physician assistants in communities across the province, Health Minister Sharon Blady announced.
All 12 physician assistants graduating this year have accepted positions within the province, ensuring their skills and expertise will benefit Manitobans seeking care.
The province is investing more than $2.1 million in Manitoba’s innovative, multi-tiered strategy to recruit and retain physicians across Manitoba, especially in rural areas, Health Minister Theresa Oswald announced.
The province is building on Manitoba’s first-of-its-kind physician assistant master’s program with legislation that would make physician assistant students associate members of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba, ensuring the students are governed by the college’s high standards for medical professionalism, Health Minister Theresa Oswald said.
