On December 5, 2009 at approximately 3:05am, Selkirk RCMP were dispatched to an armed robbery at the Shell Gas Station and Convenience Store located on Main Street in the City of Selkirk.

The victim of a hit and run that occurred earlier this week just east of the East Selkirk Bridge on highway 204, has been identified as 33-year-old Jeremy Wright of Selkirk, Manitoba.
On August 13, 2009, shortly after 12:30am, RCMP Selkirk Detachment were dispatched to a hit and run pedestrian just east of the East Selkirk Bridge on highway 204.
