On July 21, 2016, Sprague and Steinbach RCMP responded to a report of a unresponsive 5-year-old male youth, who had been located in the Vassar Pool by a passerby swimming with their own child.

The Canada Border Services Agency has laid charges pursuant to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and the Customs Act against a U.S. male, following an incident at the Sprague border crossing.

The Canada Border Services Agency reports that on March 1, 2016, Robert William Roske of Minnesota entered a guilty plea in a Winnipeg Provincial court and was sentenced to a 2.5 year jail sentence for attempting to smuggle digital images and videos of child pornography, contrary to section 159 of the Customs Act.

The Canada Border Services Agency announced that officers at the Sprague, Manitoba border crossing seized a portable methamphetamine laboratory from a traveler’s vehicle on June 4, 2015.

On May 2, 2015, at about 9:30pm, Sprague RCMP received a report of someone driving impaired and carelessly using a firearm.

On September 18, 2014, Sprague RCMP received a report that a quantity of geotextile was stolen from a yard on St. Labre Road.

Throughout much of the year, the Southeastern region of Manitoba is home to some of the most popular ATV trails in the province, resulting in an increased amount of ATV traffic in the area during this time.

On January 26, 2014, shortly after 2:30pm, Sprague RCMP were advised that a 20-year-old male and a 20-year-old female had not returned as scheduled from ice fishing and snowmobiling on Lake of the Woods.

On October 23, 2013, shortly before 11:30am, Sprague and Steinbach RCMP members responded to complaint of disobeying a court order received from Buffalo Point First Nation.
