Manitoba Pork Marketing Co-op expects to begin the construction of a new hog assembly yard near Stonewall this spring.

RCMP Stonewall Detachment are continuing their investigation into the residential fire in Stonewall this morning.

On December 15th shortly after 7 a.m., RCMP members of Stonewall Detachment along with the Stonewall / Rockwood Fire Department were dispatched to a residential fire at the corner of Spruce Lane and 2nd Avenue North in the Town of Stonewall.

RCMP Stonewall Detachment are continuing their investigation into the residential fire in Stonewall.

RCMP Stonewall Detachment advises that the post mortem has taken place December 16 at the Health Sciences Centre and the deceased, a 48-year-old woman resident of that home, died as a result of smoke inhalation.
