The 2012 Summer in the City Festival committee is counting down the final days to the start of another great event in Steinbach, Manitoba.

Opening acts have now been announced for Steinbach’s 2012 Summer in the City Festival, happening on June 15 and 16 in downtown Steinbach.

Steinbach “Summer in the City” festival tickets for the Prudential Main Stage evening shows are now available at local ticket outlet locations.

Just announced, former lead singer of the Guess Who, Burton Cummings, is set to play the Prudential Main Stage, Saturday June 16th, 2012 at Steinbach’s Annual Summer in the City Festival.

This past weekend in Steinbach during the Summer in the City Festival, the first ever “Sales in the City” event was held.

An investment of $16,800 from the Federal government was announced today at the Steinbach Arts Council in support of the Summer in the City Festival.

Today, the Honourable Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety and Member of Parliament for Provencher was pleased to announce Government of Canada support for the 2nd Annual Summer in the City running June 18th and 19th in Steinbach.

Tickets for the 2nd Annual Steinbach Summer in the City festival will be available beginning Friday, May 28, 2010.

Canadian Hall of Fame Rock Band Loverboy will headline Steinbach’s second Summer in the City Festival, June 18 and 19, 2010.

The Mayor of Steinbach is encouraging all those employed in the downtown area to kickoff the festival weekend by walking or riding bike to work this Friday, June 19, 2009.
