Manitoba Pork Council reports the level of interest among the province’s pork producers in a new national biosecurity training program has been overwhelming.
Approximately 150 Manitoba pork producers have completed the first step of a new national biosecurity training program.
Steinbach’s Fire Hall, completed in 2008, has seen another significant addition this past January with it’s new confined spaces training course.
The province will invest $1.2 million to begin training 74 additional nurses in communities across Manitoba, Advanced, Education and Literacy Minister Diane McGifford and Health Minister Theresa Oswald announced.
The Western College of Veterinary Medicine expects to complete an approximately six million dollar upgrade of its Diagnostics Laboratory and Large Animal Clinic within the next month to six weeks.
