18-year-old Matthew Martens was transported to the Steinbach RCMP Detachment on September 22, 2009, after being arrested following a police pursuit that originated in Weyburn, Saskatchewan.

As of recent, the Steinbach RCMP have responded to a significant increase in reported vehicle thefts and attempted vehicle thefts within Steinbach and the surrounding area.

On September 5, 2009, in the afternoon, the Dauphin RCMP received a report of the theft of a truck from 9th Avenue SW.

This past week, St. Pierre RCMP received calls related to thefts and attempted thefts of motor vehicles in Lorette, Ile des Chenes and Ste. Agathe.

Dauphin RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle that occurred overnight on Merrell Avenue.

Overnight on August 1, 2009 into the early morning of August 2, 2009, suspect(s) stole a 1994 black Ford Explorer bearing Manitoba licence plate AUK 226 from a Bonneteau Avenue address.

On July 19, 2009, at around 8am, Selkirk RCMP were notified that Grand Marais RCMP were involved in a pursuit of a Ford Mustang car that had been reported stolen from the City of Winnipeg earlier that morning.
