Watershed residents in the Seine-Rat River Conservation District are eligible for a subsidized RM water testing program for private wells.

The Manitoba government will continue to cover 100 per cent of the costs of precautionary bacterial tests for well-water users, Water Stewardship Minister Christine Melnick announced.

Manitoba Water Stewardship is encouraging residents in areas affected by heavy rains and flooding who use well water to boil it before consumption or use a safe alternative such as bottled water until flood waters have receded and test results confirm the bacterial safety of their water.
