Obituary

Doris Dueck, age 77, of Grunthal, MB, formerly of Winnipeg, MB and Paraguay, South America, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017, at her residence.

She is survived by her children Erwin Dueck and his wife Greta of Mitchell, Bill Dueck of Winnipeg, Leonard Dueck of Ontario, Verna Harder and her husband Gus of Winnipeg, Edd Dueck and his partner Erin of Steinbach, Darlyn Simpson and her husband Vaughn of British Columbia, Karen Dueck of Winnipeg, daughter-in-law Shelley Golden-Harcus of Winnipeg; 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, John Dueck and son Ken Dueck.

Doris was born in Steinbach, Manitoba on May 28, 1940. Her family moved to Paraguay, South America when she was seven years old. She later married John Dueck on September 13, 1962 and moved back to Canada with their children in 1976. Doris enjoyed time with family, cooking and crocheting.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 2:00pm at New Bothwell Sommerfeld Mennonite Church, with burial at the church cemetery.

If friends desire, donations in memory of Doris may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
