Obituary

Alice Peters, aged 75 years, of Steinbach, MB., formerly of Yorkton, SK., passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB.

“Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near” Philippians 4:5

I think we can all agree that this describes the life of Alice Peters.

Alice Giesbrecht was born April 10, 1944 close to Altona Manitoba. She had eight older living siblings – five sisters and two brothers. When Alice was three She was orphaned and went to live with the Penner family where she gained an additional brother and sister. In 1963 She married Dave Peters, the love of her life, and they had a son in 1965, followed by a daughter in 1969.

Alice was a gifted pianist who loved sharing the gift of music with churches, students, and her family. She was also a dearly loved church secretary and medical receptionist in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. She was an avid volunteer with several organizations, and was very loved by all who knew her.

Alice Peters is survived by her Husband of 56 years David, her son Darcy (Deirdre; Joshua, Stephanie, and Tiffany (Tyler)), and Chandra (Frank; Spencer, Gina (Dave), Amber (Leo)), and great grandkids Stephanie, Cameron, Hannah, Ben, Makiah, Theo, Cora, and Opal.
