Obituary

Mom passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 6, 2021 having reached the age of 85 years, with her 3 daughters by her side. She is survived by her daughters: Lori Steingart, Rosella (Mike) Fast and Kelli (Alvin) Funk; 4 grandchildren: Jennifer (David) Tansley, Russell Fast, Timothy (Stephanie) Fast and Kassandra (Stephane) Duval; 5 great-grandchildren: Evelyn & Braydon Tansley, Trae Fast, Lucious Fast and Jade Duval; 2 sisters, 1 sister-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mom was pre-deceased by our father, Leonard Steingart in 2002. As well, her parents Peter R. Funk and Sarah P. Funk, 3 brothers and 2 sisters (1 in infancy).

A come and go viewing for 10 people at a time will be held on March 11, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB. Please remain in your vehicles until directed inside.

A private service is being planned for the immediate family.

We, the family, would like to thank Dr. Chloe Delaquis and the numerous nurses and health care workers of Ste. Anne Hospital for their loving and caring treatment of our mother during her stay. A special thank you to George for befriending our mother and adding a little piece of sunshine to her world.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
