At the grand age of 95, on December 12, 2022 Helen Enns went home to be with her Lord.
She was predeceased by her husband, Abe Enns and son Timothy, as well as her parents and four siblings.
Helen in mourned by her children Carol (Mark), John (Charmaine), Gloria (Leigh), Esther (Ted), Crystal (Glen) as well as her brother Henry Toews (Elizabeth). She also leaves eight grandchildren of whom she was very proud and five great grandchildren that she delighted in.
She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews who she loved to see as often as she could and numerous friends and neighbors who she claimed were the best people.
Helen was the first child in her family to be born in Canada and she was always fiercely Canadian and a proud prairie Mennonite. Next to God and her family, mom moved flowers, especially the ones she enthusiastically grew, she also appreciated listening to classical music and singing 50s pop and gospel music. Hearing her children or grandchildren make music thrilled her.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at the Morris Hospital for their compassionate care of mom. We will also always be grateful to Julie Neufeld whose willingness to often help her aunt and advise us, made it possible for mom to live in her own home until the last week of her life.
Interment at Morris Cemetery on December 22, 2022 at 11:00am with funeral service to follow at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Morris at 1:00pm.
