It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Janice on Saturday, February 18, 2023, with her daughter Amanda at her side.
She is survived by one daughter Amanda (Grant), four grandchildren Brooke (Tyler), Dallas (Nick), Jay and Olivia, and three step-grandchildren Brytin (Gabby), Gage and Bob. She is also survived by her mother Jessie Wiebe and two sisters Karen (Abe) and Marge, one sister-in-law Sherri and one brother-in-law Gerry (Olga).
She was predeceased by her father Leonard Wiebe, one sister Diane and two brothers Ken and David.
Janice was always content with what she had, and she was a giving person with a big heart. She worked for many years as a cook at Chicken Chef until her health declined, but that did not stop her from being happy. She still enjoyed life to the fullest. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She was so proud of them all. She has left a legacy with them. Janice showed them clearly that God was a big part of her life. She was a big hockey fan for the Jets and her granddaughter Dallas took her in a wheelchair to see the Jets play in Winnipeg in January. That was a big highlight in her life. We the family will miss her deeply.
The family would like to thank Dr. Reimer, the caring staff in Palliative care, Southern Health home care, and the staff on 1st floor at Bethesda Hospital for caring for Janice in her home and the last week in the hospital.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
