With heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Vanessa Friesen, age 49, of Steinbach, MB. She passed away at her residence on Friday, May 12, 2023.
She leaves behind her sons Riley (Samantha) and Jordan, and daughter Trinity; two grandchildren Aurora & Charlie; father Guy (Sharon) Pambrun; step-dad Bill Bryan; Uncle and Aunt Abe & Mary Martens, Aunt Helen Friesen, as well as many cousins.
She was predeceased by her grandparents Jake & Helen Friesen; Grandma Kay Pambrun; Uncle Jake Friesen, Uncle and Aunt John & Helen Voth; mom Betty Friesen.
Vanessa grew up as an only child and had a very special relationship with her grandparents. Family was very important to her, even through the challenges of being a single mom. She loved her children very much. Her life was filled with many struggles but she still kept a sense of humor and loved to laugh. She had a generous heart and loved to give from what little she had.
In her younger years, Vanessa accepted Christ as her Savior. She was baptized at age 16, at the same time as her mom, by Pastor Peter Broesky.
We believe God rescued Vanessa from a place of destruction and despair by taking her home to be with Him. We are thankful that her suffering is over, and she is finally “free”.
We’d like to thank all of the wonderful people at Steinbach Community Outreach for the love and care they have shown her throughout the years.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 26th, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Southland Church, 190 PTH 52 W, Steinbach, MB. (south side, “Chapel Entrance”)
Cremation has taken place.
