It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Monica Hebert (nee Lynch), our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
On August 20th, 2023, at the age of 88, Monica got her wings and went to walk with the angels.
Monica was born on March 8th, 1935, in Gretna, Scotland, where she grew up with loving parents and her four siblings. She graduated from nursing, specializing in midwifery, from Whitehaven Academy in Cumbria, UK.
In 1961 she moved to St. Pierre-Jolys, MB, to pursue her career as a Registered Nurse. She was very compassionate and dedicated to helping others throughout her 35 year career.
It was during this time that she met the love of her life, Maurice Hebert, and they married in 1967 and shared 56 beautiful years of marriage together.
She leaves to mourn her husband and their two daughters Nichelle (Bernie) and Karen (Gord) and three grandchildren; Reid Keera (Zak), Seth and Shelby, as well as many family and friends. Monica was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
Monica enjoyed spending much of her time at the family cottage. Over the years she and Maurice travelled to many parts of Canada and the world.
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days. Especially to the caring staff at De Salaberry District Health Centre and the Palliative Care team, St. Pierre, MB.
A private service and interment celebrating her life will be held in the near future.
Dear Mom, we are so grateful for you. You always let us know we had a mom and grandmother who cared about us, who believed in us, who was there for us no matter what. We will miss you tremendously. You are loved.
